Honkdonk Posted September 25, 2012 Share I know, I know another Northern Farm thread Was there yesterday and I was blown away by how awesome it is looking. It might be to do with the fact that the weather was killer and that the fire has meant that all the fresh shoots are coming through nice and green. The alien veg has yet to take over.Although there was an event on Saturday and the markers and bunting had yet to be cleared up (I hope that whoever books the venue is tasked with clearing it up) it mattered not. There are some nice new trails and we all know it is hardly technical but damn, it did the job for me on Sunday. I got exactly the fix I was looking for.Saw some nice steeds as well. Always a good sign! Also, it seems to be the only "park" not reviewed in any mag - Ride, Tread etc. Any reason for this?

_David_ Posted September 25, 2012 Share x2 Love the new trails, I was there on Monday and I see that one lap of "trail 3" almost ads up to 50 km. Edited September 25, 2012 by d@vid
Honkdonk Posted September 25, 2012 Share +1This is a good thing. If trail 3 is almost 50k then my usual route should get up to 70k odd with very little doubling up. I like! Not sure who is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep - NFRUG or Club 100 or a combo? But its nice to see the entry fee's being spent, or if the work is on a volunteer basis...?I saw a bunch of development riders as well yesterday , very encouraging to see. For climbing i do a few repeats of Interval Hill, but its not the same as a good rocky technical ascent. But its a good ride none the less

When I am finished hope to have a full 55-60km route with no doubling back. At the moment on the 48km route there is 22km of single track and just over 450m of climbing. Glad you enjoying it. Taken the year off events to focus on trails and signage. _Daemon_
