thanks for the help there guys. think lezyne sounds like the way to go does any one know if one of these pumps is bomb compatible and where the best place to find one is?

Not sure what bomb compatible means but get the one with the flex hose that you can use with bombs too. Or even better just get the flex hose without the pump.

I have 2 Lezyne mini pumps, the HP pumps to 8.3bar and the HV which pumps to 6.2bar, both have a strong velcro strap to prevent them from coming loose when riding.

 

I also have the bigger Lezyne metal floor pump which i scored from my LBS.
