dudes.......this thread is "falling to pieces" (that song just played in my ears)

 

please get back to race please....Karma, will you finish quicker than 5 hours this time please? Maybw the agreed apon 4 hours?

I dont know the route like the previous one, so cant give you any hints/tips...will just make sure you are hydrated and have enough to eat this time around.

 

I would have LOVED to join you all on the route SO jealous!

Okay so the trailseeker series has ended with a bang!

 

This last event at Hakahana stumped me. Was way harder than van gaalens. Those two climbs really took the good out of me! To the folks who cheated between those two climbs at the water point. Not cool. May you all have punctures for the next year. 3 times a ride!

 

Other than the cheaters I really do not have any complaints. Its was tough and hot!

 

Well done to everyone one involved in making this a huge success

 

Cant wait for next year!

I also suffered on those climbs, pushed more than I cycled ! Didn't see people taking the short-cut, but that's just not mountain biking ... Very sad :-(

I dont know about cheating, I was doing the 40km and after the first waterpoint the marshal pointed right at the T-junction, next thing I know I'm at the finish line Straight after reaching the finish line,I tell this to the Marshal and ask him how to get back onto the 40 route and he cant ******* understand word of english

I never saw any guys cheat either, think I was just too tired to notice! The 70km was tough, especially those concrete climbs. Not sure it was as tough as VG though, the downhills weren't nearly as wicked!

Saw couple of guys missing the left turn on that steep short climb about 35 km in...They missed the whole climb and that washed away section...1km down the road they joined again..well ahead of me though... All and all a great day. Climbs harder than van gaalens. But overall not harde than val gaalens...great race!
