So much for patches' "primary school" comment… :whistling:

Hey, I never said that I finished primary school. My parents could only afford to send one of us. Based on my good looks, they said I would probably fair better without education than the others would

So that's why "sweaty" and "salty" got together…

I just took the diameters at "face value" to give a basic illustration of surface area increase proportinal to diameter increase.

I'm too lazy for exact science

650B is one of my anal bugbears. Hang on - that didn't come out right...

Thats the only reason I know about the exact sizes - the scientist in me yearns to debunk the myth that 650B is the "in betweener". It aint - it's a swollen 26"...

I hope to never be far enough from the ground on my mtb that wind becomes a factor. I'd soil me trousers!

haha! don't knock kettle corn until you've tried it!

But back to the topic at hand, before super_mil gets angry with me and withholds my maklula rear axle...

for something like rampage, where conditions are windy and lot of the rider's time is spend in the air... I would not want big 'sails' on my bike!

As for 650b, thanks to Eldrons more accurate measurements, it's a 10% increase in surface area, which I'm sure riders at that level can deal with.

Also Logan Binggeli is a DH racer, so might be using the "fast and fluid" rampage strategy that Gee uses, as opposed to the big air that the Zinks and McCauls and Lacondeguys aim for.

I think it's great that he's using a 650b at the Rampage. It will instantly silence all of the wheel strength naysayers.

Your brand spanking new 300lbs spring and axle are waiting for you. I just keep forgetting to bring them with me when we head out riding. I think that 250lbs spring is spot on for me... And is a great addition to my newly acquired Fox 40

Maybe Logans gonna use the "sails" to help him "float" over a transfer gap that everyone else hasn't even seen yet??? hahaha

It seems strange to me that KHS would pull the 650 our for Rampage but not have used it already on the world cups??

I'm surprised Logan didnt use it here in SA ... i bet we'll see a stack of okes on it come August next year.

Let the primary school edumacation continue....when passing through water wheels are not spinning - relative to the ground they are stationary so the "sail" concept does not hold *ahem* water for when wheels move through water.

*snigger*

Thanks for the edumacation Eldron

Greatly appreciated

Ps Do you say the word in the tone of the late legendary Bernie Mac ?

All this talk. I bet it's still faster... Hat, coat, circus bike, I'm gone!

HAHAHA ... classic. .. Problem is Rampage isnt about the speed. Its about fluidity, style and BIG kahoonas. So you can get down fast, but may not win cus you cant 360 your massive gyroscopes. :whistling:
