Funky looking bike, I like the idea.

We have a lot of amazing tar roads that head up into the hills here, that eventually become dirt and continue on up higher. Sometimes tar becomes dirt and then later tar again. I could see this as the perfect adventure bike for touring.

I was looking at the new Spez Secteur for something similar:

I like the Giant a lot. I think I'd just put slightly, ever so slightly, more aggressive tires on it. I would have thought you'd need a bit more traction than those tires seem to give for the average gravel road.

The Giant and the Secteur both look a bit similar to each other and to the Volagi Viaje

The Volagi is steel, though - which wins for me immediately.

Tons of CX bikes will do the job - I have a Cotic X, which is my go to bike - has 42c tyres on, and can go just about anywhere.

Couldn't be happier with it!

Now need to buy a Solaris or P29 to complete the stable.

That's the perfect bike for k@k road surfaces in the dark mornings.

How do you think they would offer hydraulic disk brakes with the road sti's?

Avid BB7 mechanical discs - specifically designed for this.

Not sure what other makes are out there tho
