thanks all.......dangle tea tree still OMG!!! LOL!!! WILL DEF LOOK INTO SUGGESTIONS AND YES I AM RAISING MY VOICE NOW IN CAPS LOCK

The tea tree was in reference to the testosterone (check it up)

The candida is a whole different ball game all together.

Quite a dangerous puppy to deal with.

Get rid of that big absorbing chunk of yeast and see the weight steadily come down, of course in accordance with a good eating plan, as well as a good exercise plan.

work and back every day i push that hard its only 12 there and back

i got a training program from mark at finish line cycle that includes different zone training for different days

Cool. I know Clint, Arthur and the guys there well.

I think you may need to shock your system with some loooooong easy base rides combined with short hard, no very hard tempo and interval rides. Seperate your hard rides with easy recovery rides or rest. Most people don't ride hard enough or easy enough. And 60% of all riding time should be easy.

It is difficult when you commute. I think for now you should commute as easily as possible most days there and back. Perhaps make twice a week on the way home only super hard intervals or time trial it.

I lost approx 20kg with a combination of Tim Noakes' "crazy" plan and the revised Atkins Diet in a space of 4 months (1 kg a week, every week) right up to my goal weight (which I never thought I would get to ever).

I found the following tools quite handy:

1. Heart rate monitor - some here mention high intensity training. I propose training in the "weight loss" zone, ie, between 65 and 75% of your max

2. Carb / Calorie counter - I used this tool (on my tablet) to record all my meals every day. I manage very well on 50 to 60g of Carbs every day. Don't neglect your Omega 3's and 6's (get a supplement if you dont have one). It helps maintain healthy cellular structure etc.

3. Have yourself tested to see if you are carb or gluten intollerant. Also have yourself tested for diabetes etc. All these have an effect on how your body processes what you put into it.

I'd definitely consider hitting the gym and boost your body with some alternative forms of exercise -

swimming

light weight

core

plyometric stuff

Mix up your exercise routine.

Just be careful in racing season with unexpected injuries from doing atypical routines.

and away with the tea tree

Now that's one piece of wisdom you didn't expect, eh?

Anything is possible on HubSA...

Good luck, man.

And don't be too hard on yourself - negative thoughts restricts weight loss. blush.png

A lot of the guys have picked up on most things from what I know just one thing?

Maybe you need to do some resistance training. The problem with cycling is there is no resistance, very bad for muscle building. Maybe try cut out a cycle and do weights (or even a run), this includes some resistance then and will help lose the fat and build muscle, which is really your aim.

Where do you stay??

Maybe try a sports institute which has sports dietitians and others. I saw Dr Jon Patricious and he looks at everything as a whole rather than just your diet.

Probably something really small and stupid you are missing.

I'd personally give anything to have your dedication, I'd look like a movie star then.

Good luck and let us know.
