Hay single speeders.

One quick Question: does anyone else suffer from neck and back pain?

I heard something some were that it is a ss thing. I just think my bike is not the correct size for me and not set up properly. Any one have some geat worrds of wisdom? Or should I HTFU and have a nother beer?

I just think its the bike set up. My other bikes do not hurt my neck as much.

Can't comment about it being a ss thing but I often get neck pain after a ride esp a hard one, though the more I train the less it gets

Could be you work harded on a ss

You will be told to go for a decent bike fit. I also suffer from lower back pain so I would advise on doing regular stretches, especially your hamstrings.

Hi there Peader

Maybe a sore knee MIGHT be SS related due to the higher torque pedaling.

But, a sore neck and back will be fit related.

The first sugns of a poor setup will be a sore neck, back and hands, and of those symptoms you have two.

If you are very comfy on amother bike, try and mimic your setup from there as best you can, and then, and ONLY then

HTFU ;)

Happy hoopin

Front of the bike could be too low causing the neck pain. Is it at the base of the neck?

Back is just the extra work. 6 months in I'm starting to get better at it. Do more core work and learn to stretch your back on the bike.

I have 10 pieces of metal in my back and it hurts when i am seated in the same position for any length of time. Thus the SS makes it all better as I have to throw the thing around all the time just to get up the drive way. There is no correct gear and no comfortable position. It works for me.
