Hi-jack!!

Rossouw was very prominent in the beginning of 2012 - out of nowhere - and then suddenly did not feature in the last 6 months. What's up?

might be sick again? i know he now rides for USN

Hmm that is Gravel Travel this year ... Looks like BS not such a bad match for KE.

He is younger. Finished just behind KE at Hill 2 Hill .... Lead the race for most of the way if I recall.

Food for thought. Epic choice of partner will be interesting.

Came out of retirement, rode for Fedgroup then it was announced after 6 months that him living in CT is a problem and he's leaving the team.

interesting tweet form branson els, sounds like KE came with all the $$ from Scott to set something up for him.......more like Scott thew the lifeline.....or continued supporting the country's top domestic marathon rider.....

I can believe that.

Don't like this 'life line' crap.

I reckon a big hats-off must go to Brandon Els, he has been very supportive of Kevin.

It is great that Fedgroup supports MTB'ing - their business is another thing. Personally I don't want to deal with them but this is not the place.

IMO this deal is great for them, top rider and deal with Scott. No downside for them.

Life line for the Fedgroup team rather than for KE...

Possibly. But the association with DG must be a huge stumbling block for KE to secure sponsorship alone. Even with the support from Scott, that would not have been enough to support him the way FedGroup-ITEC can. It was BS that approached FedGroup and ITEC and various 2nd tier sponsors like Kathea and Crusader Logistics and sold them on upping the budget to include KE. I believe it was initially emotional - BS and KE known each other along time. BS knows the hardship of a team breakup specially when you have a family to provide for. BS and KE have daughters the same age. Bit of a tug on the heart strings I'm sure.

Either way mutually beneficial. Will be nice to see good come from a bad situation.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not taking issue with BS, FedGroup & Itec coming to the party and snapping up KE, my issue is rather with the headline.

I have to agree. I'm sure KE could have built a new team from scratch around the Scott sponsorship. He would surely have received some other offers as well and being paid out the balance of his 360life contract would also have bought him a few months to consider his options.
