Hi

Just a small rant, more dissappointed than any then else.

I bought a pair of decca bibs from buycycle on 19/10/2012.

Intinial service was good. Sent the sizing chart etc to help with getting the correct size. I measured my current bibs and the Decca had the same measurements (XL) so I placed my order.

Bibs arrived a couple of days later, happy so far. Try them on and absolute no go, the barely fit over my calves (45cm) so the have no chance of fitting over my thighs (65cm) they have zero stretch unlike my ZeroRH bibs. So I drop them a mail on the same day informing them that they do not fit, can i return them for a larger size?

After numerous mails and phone calls to Hilgard and co still no joy.

It's unfortunte that I will just not bother buying from them again. You'd think a exchange or refund would be easy.

Bought a wheelset from them & only great service (haven't had to ask for aftersales service though)

Bibs might be a toughy to exchange. I've seen a similar issue on thehub not too long ago.

Dont buy bibs online unless you have fitted it previously for size.

Yup I've learnt my lesson. I will give them to mate or something. I just thought a exchange or refund would be easy. The bibs made it to my calves and no further.

I'm not going to slag them off at all.

sorry to hear pal but i must admit my problem was initially very slow to resolve however 2 months later i was about to phone lizelle and shamus and go off when my wife phoned to let me know pedals are back and working fine glad they sorted it out

I had **** service from them in December. Was busy with a product enquiry via email and the line of communication just stopped from their side when I asked for an approximate delivery date.

Took my business elsewhere.

Also find their delivery charges a bit on the excessive side. From PTA to JHB I paid R150 delivery for 2 bibs. Madness when there are places like Fastway Couriers that can do it for R30.

they told me months back that they would exchange the decca bibs, if they dont fit... but i wasnt in the mood for the hassle and bought from a LBS instead, you should just go to their office in Lynwood so they can sort it out

I am guessing here, but would think the CPA would give you the right to return them if they didn't fit irrespective of any policies of theirs especially if they are unused.

Read my earlier post they have no issue with returns but its at your cost to get there and back again with a 10% fee same as CWC and other online stores, Totally legal but not worth it, cheaper to take a R100 loss and sell it here for R100 less than asking price.
