Absolutely loved this event (my 1st Trailseeker & 2nd MTB race), did 43km in 2h12 after starting in 'J' batch... a couple of traffic jams on the single track & tech sections but cant complain as I had no info for a better seeding... There were a couple of chops that came 'racing' around us when we were waiting in one of the traffic jams who must have started in K batch, there were probably 30 people waiting to get through the section and these 2 tonsils came through shouting 'passing on the right'... Funny, though I didn't see them on the podium :whistling: ...

I think overall it was a really good event. Considering the 3000 riders it was much better than some events of 500 riders. Started from C for the marathon and didnt have eny route / bottleneck issues, which was great considering the enormous amounts of single track. This is still one of my favourites in Gauteng. Only issue was parking to get into the venue but can I complain if I didnt get up early enough?

This was my 1st trailseeker event, I really enjoyed it . I had the flu so was feeling to happy most of the way I really bonked at 10Km from the end but pushed on and finished in 2h30.

I must add there were a few bottlenecks here and there. I really enjoyed the technical section towards the end I think that was the rosemary hill section of the ride ?

Def going to do the next trailseeker event.

Don't be fooled by the "easiness" of this event. It's gets a lot tougher in the next Trailseeker events

yep this one was easy, Cullinan has allot of loose sand and some long climbs.

Just received an email from ss timing regarding my time that is a balls up.

I didnt make my stating batch and obviously started in a much later batch. This means my timing started with my seeded batch although I only crossed the start line 30min after my batch start.

Quite stupid this rule as they can pick up and DQ an early start but not pock up a later start.

How am I suppose to find my photos! It seems they are not uploaded according to your race number. So you will have to sit and browse all the photos until you find yours?
