That's Oli Munnicks old bike not so?

I think you are right - just googled and found this pic :

Check the bars - silver wasn't oem, and would also explain why the rear rim was beaten to death!

No wonder the guys at Mike's Bikes said that everything was dial'd in on the bike :)

Why is that bike so cheap and the guys neg, it looks like new and the ad says only ridden for 100hrs and it's just had the suspension serviced by Spez no doubt at their rather enormous charge?

It's like the guy is trying to give it away.

funny, it is not a spez fork.

What frame protection do you guys use / suggest for the downtubes ?

Stick on silicone tape (like BBB)

or plastidip

or a proper mudguard made of plastic

If a hard mudguard is the best option then I am looking for 2 different types. Both large (-ish) downtubes

1 is for the Shova (square tubing)

the other is for the Reign.

Could anybody help me with a price and where I could get the chain device shown in the pic attached. It is a chainstay protector with catcher in one.

I have tried my local Spez dealership and 4 days later still awaiting any form of feedback.

Any help would be appreciated.

There is another brand, who makes a similar chain guide. It is Bionicon and the model is the C-guide.

I am not sure if they have an agent in SA.

Have a look here: http://bionicon.com/parts/c-guide/c-guide-v02.html#buy

I am not mistaken that chain guide comes standard with the Specialized bikes, just not sure which specific one.
