Your Enduro ride

clearly maxxis intended it that way, but there's nothing wrong with doing what you want. It's just a damn tyre to begin with! ppl are sticking on DHR2's up front and loving it. Think out of the little box the advertisers want you to play in, and you may just hit upon something awesome.

You'll find a lot of guys were using the DHF front and back, preferring the DHF over the DHR on the rear.

At one stage I had a DHR on the front of my XC bike, performed pretty well.

I believe the DHF2 and DHR2 are different animals.

So basically try it and see what you like

I must be honest, the DHR looks far more appealing to have on the front since most of my local trails will be well suited for them...and I love a super grippy front end, not phased about the rear sliding around a little.

Thank you guys for the insights! Will give it some thought and load em up.

glad you going to experiment

but do keep in mind the tread profile of the DHR was intended to maximise breaking edges. It's rolling resistance profile might not be as favorable as the DHF. To support this perspective, look at how they've incorporated high roller like middle knobs on the DHR2 to help reduce rolling resistance. I personally would rather roll with DHF, DHR II back and front, than DHR back and front.

also, there's no such thing as a DHF II.

I have been waiting to see what is replacing the Juliana!

At the moment its not "replacing" as I havent sold the Juliana yet   :cursing:

But I have been able to source new parts for the new bike to a point where both bikes will be complete builds - so i can try and sell the Juliana now as a complete bike.

will put it up tonight ....

But there is a proper limited market in SA for ladies trail bikes    - even if they are a Santa Cruz 5010 with a different sticker kit ....

I am running 2.3  DHR2s front and rear at the moment. I have found the DHR up front to work fine - serious grip and confidence inspiring in corners and under braking. Somewhat more bite than a HD even though it looks narrower. Cant compare it to the DHF experience cos I've never had one.

Still need to trim the dropper hose and tune the controls. I did a basic shock setup yesterday and did the mandatory yard test. After that short test I can say that she is bloody fast, turns like on rails and pops and jumps very well.

I am going out after work for a more challenging ride. Can't wait!!!!
