Bronson med or a Nomad large ? Im 1.79 and currently riding a blur xl...opinions appreciated

SC sizing has always been kind of small. Don't know if they changed that with this year's releases. I (1.66m) normally ride small frames (cannondale, bmc, on-one, schwinn), but my 5010 is med. My wife (1.62) also fits on the med. I'd go with the bigger frame with short stem and wide bars. You're probably too tall for a SC medium... That's the size question.

Bronson and Nomad has somewhat different applications and you need to look at what will work for you. I was in the same conundrum with my choice between a 5010 and Bronson. Both would work, but for my type/style riding the "smaller" 5010 was more appropriate. Sometimes I wish I went for the Bronson, but mostly I think I made the right choice.

The they are both every capable bikes.

Seeing as the nomad would be the one you looking at its still a small (large) it that makes sense.

I've been lucky enough to spend a fair amount of time on an XL prototype and I'm 188cm.

The bike is massively capable and it sort of feels like you just flatten everything in front of you. It does however not like the climbs as much as the downs but in saying that it does climb well for how slack it is.

I think i must wait for a Bronson large to cross paths...im scared the nomad, might just be too much bike for where i ride at giba (too much climbing)

Perfect for the DH tracks but a bit overkill for the rest of Giba and the climbs are not friendly to that sort of bike.

Maybe drop Nige a line and ask how his copes at Giba.

Bronson or Nomad would work at Giba all depends how hard you want to hit the stuff especially the new stuff going up that Jason And Ed (G2G)are putting up Bronson is the more all round bike I think and can handle a lot.The Bronson has more travel then my Spitty and I find that it handles more then I thought it would but then it's a very different bike to the Bronson.

KingTJ, the Nomad is fine at Giba ... it climbs exceptionally well for its geometry. You are not going to be racing up the hills there so if you can find a good deal then its worth it.

At our level of riding the Nomad vs Bronson will feel very similar. But the Nomad may give you a bit more confidence to hit some of the bigger stiff at Giba.

If I go down this weekend and i see you you are welcome to take my bike for a spin to see how it feels.

Herewith I would like to introduce my Transition Patrol I just built up

Only taken her on a light pedal but so far so good while I try and get the suspension setup to my liking.

First impression this bike likes to pop and get airborne
