DIPSLICK Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Those breathing classes were a waste of time. When the pain hits, you want to slap the person in the face that says "stop holding your breath, and breathe, breathe" yeah right! See if they breathe if I shove my foot up their rear!BREATHE BREATHE,,,,,,,EPIDURAL EPIDURAL
'Dale Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 did not help me on the J2C .....my butt looked like raw liver BUT i think the saddle was more to blame Ow!
'Dale Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Saw one of the riders cycle through a stage WITHOUT SEAT POST AND SADDLE as he was nursing saddle sores. In the recent Giro,....
rouxtjie Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 (edited) That's only because you will only use the first circle..... rip it off once and you will never use it again... But is good for using on your hands over a layer of second skin for burst blisters....Nooit....used it at joberg2c...works perfectly. The key is committing when sticking it on, don't try and reposition once you have applied. Now go ride...the longer the better....sweat mixes with the glue and eventually when you have to remove them at the end of the ride they simply slide off, no tearing of nipples, skin or hair...I am not joking, it works like a charm. Absolute hygiene: Get out of the cycling shorts ASAP. Shower with good antibacterial soap.2. Apply bactroban ointment 3 times per day.3. Switch to the right size good quality bib shorts. (tight fitting)4. Beware of to soft a saddle.5. Apply thick layer of milking cream mixed with anti bacterial ointment before every ride.If this does not help time off the saddle plus drainage plus antibiotics might be your only option. Hope you get well soon. Nothing more irritating than a bout of saddle sores. Edited June 6, 2013 by Sniffie

Let's Ride Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 Use it for chaffing in my area. Never used it on the chamios. A good saddle works for me. But I do have two permanent marks from when I sit but it doesn't hurt and it's not a sore.
Gandalf Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 Off course yes! Mix my own: 1 big tub of milking cream + 1 tube of antiseptic ointment. Cheap and it works like a charm. where do you buy this milking cream?
