KnobbyMech Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 Life's like that... You reap what you sow. Or you reek of whats been thrown. Andrew Steer 1
Andrew Steer Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 Serious? Can Quintana TT well? That's good news - I pictured him getting a pasting in the TT like most little pocket rocket climbers do...
Tumbleweed Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 Jip, so far Sagan holding on, but Gilbert fading in section 2. To put it into perspective, they are up there with various national TT champs and Millar who won a TDF TT. Ja! Seventh fastest so far.
DJ84 Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 Sagan 2'13 down on Martin,Either Martin is in a class of his own out there or we have to wait for Froome and some others to see. Would love to see Impey come close. KnobbyMech 1
Thorn199 Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 Martin allowed his rainbow stripes todayWhen Tony Martin raced the team time trial last Tuesday, he did so using a Specialized frame that had rainbow stripes on it. This netted him a fine of 2,000 Swiss Francs as the UCI is protective of the colours that are use for the rainbow jersey.Even though Martin was a member of the Omega Pharma-Quickstep team that won the inaugural edition of the team time trial at the world championships, no rainbow jersey is awarded for this new category... that's why the fine was issued after stage four.Today, however, the German used the same bike - and he's allowed to do so as he is the reigning TT world champion.
Rob Mortimer Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 At a 54.271km/h average (according to the Bicycling web site tracker) I think he might be pretty much in a class of his own
Thorn199 Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 More points for Sagan today?Points for the green jersey are awarded to the first 15 riders in the stage today. Sagan is currently ranked seventh (finishing the stage 2'18" behind Martin).

Would love to see Impey come close. Me too, but it sounds like only Tuft got Green(edge) light from management to give it a real go. The others to save themselves.
KnobbyMech Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 Peter Velits (used to race for Konica Minolta SA) also going well and Impey next up to start!
