Daideron Posted July 15, 2013 Share I find the guys who run alongside and inbetween the riders and official cars/bikes incredibly annoying. By all means stand and cheer, but this running alongside and screaming in their ears is dangerous. Just look at Froome, he spends most of his time with his head down. I just worry that someone causes an accident, which will possibly effect the outcome. But it will never stop. As long as they climb the Cols the spectators will be there! Thats why we love the Tour! andydude Posted July 15, 2013 Share Without the fans there will be no Tour de France! I actually quite like the sea of people and then how it parts when the riders go through. Must be amazing riding with that cheer and support. Sure, some are crazy, but no harm meant. All it takes it for the first man to put his foot one inch onto the road, then the next will have to go one inch and a bit, etc. fabes and StevieL
Tankman Posted July 15, 2013 Share Fans have caused crashes before ... flag into Lance's wheel, twice that dogs walked into the peloton causing crashes.A rider was punched in the stomach by a fan, the rider went back later and found the fan and gave him some of his own medicine. Contador punched a fan that was running next to him, that fan deserved that punch! Some fans took the piss out of Cavendish. Lunatics will be lunatics and lunatics will be part of the tour (or any other sport/event)
'Dale Posted July 15, 2013 Share Fans = occupational hazard It is up to the the organizers to set up different viewing scenarios.Obviously, they want the intimacyOrHow do they possibly create barriers over hundreds of kms.

'Dale Posted July 15, 2013 Share Tomorrow, the show goes on. This Tour is not over.Green and Yellow jerseys are firmly in hand for Froome and Sagan, BUT ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN IN SPORT.The chase for Polka and White is still very very interesting. http://www.letour.fr/PHOTOS/TDF/2013/1600/PROFIL.png

T-Bob Posted July 15, 2013 Share I see Pinot & van Poppel out Thibault Pinot? Where'd you pick that up from? Another one of my TdF Fantasy picks going to the wall.
GrumpyOldGuy Posted July 15, 2013 Share Not much been said about Andy in the media, okay the 2 Ps have done a pretty good job but even they have to concede at some point he is pretty much out of it, I haven't even seen any release from the Shack defending his poor form, even old man Kloden held on longer.
