I wonder if Jens is trying to lap the rest of the tour seeing as they have to go up the Alpe twice... Not sure of the distance but is it possible for the leaders hammering up the second attempt to catch the stragglers from the 1st?

With 100km to go in stage 18, Moser, van Garderen, Voigt, Jeannesson, Riblon, Amador, Chavanel, Boom and Danielson are ahead of the peloton by 6'40".

The two counter-attackers - Roche and Paulinho - are at 5'15".

News just in: The ASO has noted the riders' concern about the descent on today's stage. However, instead of shortening the stage and cutting up the descent, there will be a speed limit imposed in a bid to prevent riders taking uncalculated risks.

So its a race with a speed limit?! Is this becoming as pathetic as F1...?

Imagine putting a speed limit on a Mtb downhill!

Really a pity. Mostly mountainbikers think the 3 red arrows mean" go like hell"

All i actually said / asked was: "Was Froome wrong (about it being dangerous), who ended up on his arse on the day"

I did not say it was incompetence, your making the wrong assumption and putting words into my mouth. Yes i'm saying that AC went to into that particular corner to fast and fell off as a result but that does make him incompetent.

Of course it was an accident, but the suggestion is that it most likely would not have happened if he went a little bit slower, THATS ALL

Go back and read your post about what you expect a rider in front of you to be able to do. That's what I an referring to. Go too and read all the quotes from Froome. Go too and read Froome's tweets. Go too and watch the entire post-race interview. Stop blaming the media and context. Froome was voicing his displeasure and someone going to fast into a corner? Really? Then why don't we ban the idiots who crashed into barriers in the TT yesterday? They obviously were taking uncalculated risks by your reasoning if you agree with what you see and read about what Froome said.
