I know I am a day late on the whole eating enough during a mountain stage debate, But I can rember contador making the same mistake a few years ago, I cant remeberthe race but I remember how he was attacking and leaving every for dead and then whammo. They came past . When he reached the end he was gulping down cokes ( the liquid my locally by abi )

Can anyone else remember where it was ?

I think Tour de Suisse in 2010.

That was a bad bonk. He slowed down like a loaded truck on the flats.

Phill just said there are a lot of Welsh flags around, I saw them, they are all upside down, looks like a dragon doing a crash landing

Who says sprinters cant climb.

Cavendish is making a move ahead of the peloton.

Wants the sprint points on the other side of the hill.

Sadly Dracs.

Slap the yellow fleece on him and he is a doper too, raw talent or not.

Yep. the boys already have their calculators out and the innuendo's have begun, but he won't get the full heat until he's winning...

Think it was the Dauphine during LA's comeback year. He and Lance had traded some barbs in the press. The latter tweeted something along the lines of: "Restated: Much to learn." I may be wrong...

Ta for the correction, mate! Just googled it, and found a cyclingnews forum thread where a poster made the same error as me! Hahaha! There was even a suggestion on that thread that Contador had faked the bonk to psych out Lance...*groan*
