I also do League. As do my boys. Love it.

 

My boys also played DOTA, but they recon the champs are not balanced.

 

I still play league every day. I'll still see with the champs in dota, but in league I've discovered a amazing build with Ahri mid lane. I got a penta the other day when the enemy team rushed our adc bot lane. 

 

I'm not allowed to cycle at the moment, so just play games until 1or 2am the mornings now

Welcome to the dark side. However once the bug bites it eats massive chunks of time!! I try limit myself to about 5 games a week, with the new Turbo mode it does make it a bit easier to manage a game a day without my SO shooting me.

 

As for the learning curve, once you understand the basics it goes a lot quicker. 

 

 

Turbo is fun, you can sort of ignore the basics of the game and a lot of the strats just because you level up so quickly. But I also have a buddy who coaches me in game over ts and that helps a lot

I played against a Jinx whose support was a Blitzcrank last night.

They f****d us up.

 

Jinx built Runaan Huricane, Statik Shiv, bloodthirster, infinity edge and trinity. Endgame she was so OP she ambushed us at baron, took the entire team out with Blitz and got baron.

 

Need to learn to play her

I always get the B F Sword, and maybe boots on first back with her, then built Runaan's which helps tremendously with wave clears to build a gold lead, them go for Infinity Edge.

 

Also, don't underestimate Miss Fortune with the current patch. She can be just as difficult to handle in team fights with her ult.

 

My boys usually play that combo in ranked. They are still bronze though because they underestimate the importance of taking objectives and map control. I am trying to coach them on the strategic importance of those two aspects of LoL, but they are not listening yet. They fall to easily for the lure of team fights.

I avoid team fights like the plague, especially when you don't have a high AD tank in your team.

I miss the days of jamming Quake 4. If there was a Quake to come out on Switch, I'd be as happy as a pig in poop. Doom is out on Switch so I don't see why not.

I went to a few LANs back in the day where a few of my mates would jam Counterstrike. I didn't have a fancy PC back then to join in, so I just watched, lol.

I was laughing, but it was that nervous laugh as I realised I remember all of that.
