RD looks like its going to be a Shadow +, that would be really cool.

Helps to read the article first....

"Shadow + rear derailleur option and ICE technology for the disc brakes"

Hi Zappa. You get components in order of 'quality' (and cost) from Shimano (and other manufacturers) in this order: Deore<SLX<XT<XTR, i.e. XTR is the top of the Shimano range.

ITS FROM BOTTOM TO TOP IN THIS ORDER....

SHIMANO ACERA

SHIMANO ALVILIO

SHIMANO DEORE

SHIMANO DEORE SLX

SHIMANO DEORE XT

SHIMANO DEORE XTR

ALIVIO

So where does the Shimano SIS I have on my 15sp fit in?

In order from bottom to top..

Acera

Alivio

Deore

Deore SLX

ZEE (somewhere between SLX and XT but for gravity bikes)

Deore XT

Saint (also for gravity bikes)

XTR

XTR Yumeya (don't think they make yumeya upgrades for the current XTR range)

and at the top...

XX1

My vote, electric 1 x 11..

I have always maintained that the Di2 should have been developed for MTB, it makes sense there not on the road where you set gears every year or so, yours gears suffer a lot on MTB and needs attention a lot thus the ease of setting with Di2 would make sense
