Hey Hubbers,

 

So how do I delete a section on strava? I got KOM on a section in Delta park, and I am definately certain that I did not ride the section as described. The gps thought that I did it, and I cut through parts of the section, but I will not claim it, no way.

 

Please advise.

Contact Strava support. they'll unlink it from your ride.

 

Or... just mark the ride as private

I find one of the best use-cases for Strava is route finding in new areas. Would love it if I could load up routes other people have used to get to a certain point on a map..... this looks like its headed in the right direction.

If you're a premium user you can download the .gpx file from a persons ride, top right corner on the map if you're in the ride.

I was thinking more along the lines of a "ride this route" feature in the strava mobile app, so it gives an indication of which direction to ride (instead of grabbing GPX, and then needing to load into garmin / another mobile app)

 

*edit* correction, can't grab the gpx as a free user, premium-only feature.

No. Everybody has always been able to do it Now to create meaningful segments and not name all of them after the closest big road! Have fun!

I know awhile ago I tried and it wouldn't let me.. Maybe was doing something wrong, but at least I can now!

You should go ride in Plett/Knysna, nearly everything is "N2 Climb". Also, sometimes strava creates segments automatically which is usually segments like R339 Climb etc.
