But that hasn't happened, and my strategy leaves me mid-pack, courtesy of some non-performing picks (Goss, Talansky, Pinot).

judging by Pinot's own interviews he's actually been wondering why he's been pick for the tour (let alone by so many hubbers!). Seems like he's been a bit emotional and crying.

I have the advantage of seeing what each Hubber picks, and I could choose a team based on each person's historical performance. However, that would be likened to "cyber doping" and I don't like cheats, or cheating.

I picked my team based on my limited knowledge of ProCycling and, like Admin, I'm only entering to see how much (or is that "how little") I know - I am not eligible for the prizes.

Let's look at how the scoring is made up:

1. Daily stage points (315 points - 28.1%)

2. Top in each category, i.e. yellow, green, white, polka dot, teams (735 points - 65.6%)

3. Final Podium (55 points - 4.7%)

4. Most Aggressive Rider (18 points - 1.6%)

5. TOTAL POINTS (1121 points - 100%)

Considering my knowledge of the scoring system, I picked a team I thought would occupy the category positions (top 3) for the last 2 weeks of the Tour, and a sprinter occupying the yellow jersey courtesy of the win on the first stage - much like Cancellara did in London a few years back when he won the prologue and held yellow for the first week.

But that hasn't happened, and my strategy leaves me mid-pack, courtesy of some non-performing picks (Goss, Talansky, Pinot).

Picked my team specifically targetting getting riders into those category leading positions for as long as possible...

For the points jersey, stages and that possible early yellow:

Mark Cavendish

Peter Sagan

Andre Greipel

Yellow Jersey with a KOM overlap:

Chris Froome

Alberto Contador

Andy Schleck

Joaquin Rodriguez

Young riders:

Tejay van Garderen

Nairo Quintana

Teams: Sky, Garmin and Movistar

Only really Tejay letting me down badly so far, but I am pretty sure I am not the only one

Still got hopes for getting some points out of Andy and Joaquin in the mountains.

he's also scared of going downhill!

And by scared I don't mean cautious, I mean terrified... In a recent interview he stated he is scared of speed like some people are scared of spiders and snakes...

Clearly I learned this AFTER I had picked him since being "scared of speed" is not a trait I would chose in my young rider contender and king of the mountain wildcard!!

I reckon Tejay van Garderen makes his come back on the TT... he is a dam good TT rider...

He's got to make up almost 30minutes on the other young riders though....

Yeah surely he has no chance in the white jersey category now.

This is surprising as in the Tour of California he looked strong climbing, time trailing and at everything in between. Yes Le Tour is another level to that race but still, he has been awful the last few days. Perhaps he can regain some honour in the TTs.

Heres hoping he comes out with rockets on his bike then...

ja the tour is another level but last year he was top 5! His lack of form has been a mystery to me.

I can't get over how poor a form Tejay is on this tour.

Very true.

Wonder what's going on.

Tomorrow is the first individual time trial.

In the word of Phil & Paul: "He wants to Assassinate the field in the Individual TT"

Phil: "The last 4 kilometres is a long straight boulevard, there's a sweeping left hander & then a right hand roundabout"

and "it's a straight run to the finish but theres a kink to the left"

Paul: "The clock isn't very friendly phil"

Paul or Phil: "Froome is driving like a tractor through the 2nd time check"
