MRI scan, he passed out a couple of times that evening, after having told Dr he doesn't feel right. Dr assured him it definitely only broken ribs, and maybe a bruised ego...

**** that's my worse nightmare, been on the receiving end already. I'll sue that Dr for malpractice as it could've been worse for your mate.

Wishing him a full and speedy recovery. That's hectic.

On day 2 I almost went off the side of one of the basic bridge crossings at the beginning of the Paul Cluver trails - just got my line and speed wrong. Had I fallen it couldn't have been less than 2 meters down. And it can happen so easily when least expected.

Is there charging stations, for Phones & garmins?

Yes Nashua supplied a charging station. But what the guys were doing, which was moment of tjopness they would drop their items and leave it there till 21h00 when it closed. That would mean nobody else can use this slot. The guys from Nashua were then forced disconnect phones at a certain time to open up other slots. Be considerate....

So.... Day 3 wasn't a day for a SS. Too much flats and downhills and the wind was pumping. But wow just when you think bleh, you are blown away with some of the best single track around. What a race(ride)..... I'll definitely wanna do it again! Overall we did well. Think we stayed in Top 50.

Race riders, the rain was coming down in Grabouw when we left, goodluck. Its gonna take alot of HTFU'ing!!!

Love the top picture Meezo.

What did the legs feel like going up there on the SS? Must have been murder from Hamilton Russel to the top of Admiralty Road!

Respect!

Hi Meezo. Looking at doing the race on my SS next year. What gears did you run? Was there any walking or did you ride the entire route? Hope to meet you sometime out on the trails. Always looking to learn from other SS'ers. Well done on your result.

I was running 32x20 on a 29er. Rode everything. Apart from my front flip over the handle bars. And the parts where slower riders bailed on switch backs. It was the ride, so it was chilled
