Looking for one for a niner ss build, this would have been very interesting. It's close to impossible, but there are still a few out there if you're prepared to wait 2 months... No laufing matter if you own a steel frame.

Looking for one for a niner ss build, this would have been very interesting.Trust me, I know .For your Niner , if it is a normal head tube you can still put a tapered fork in by using the correct Cane Creek headset .

That's good to know. I also have an old Santa Cruz Heckler that I am looking to upgrade the fork on. I thought the cane creek headset would only work if you have a 40 mm internal diameter?

droo Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Yep, if the current headset is semi integrated you can fit an external bottom cup and a tapered fork. External cup straight steerer is a no go.
