Okay this might not be classified as car porn

.. but

It was time to start looking at a car for our youngest.. and we had figured we'll probably just a little Datsun Go (like what we got for our eldest) and then we came across the new Suzuki s.presso. what a little gem..talk about bang for buck, comes in much cheaper then the new Go's and other small cars and all the bells and whistles..makes it quite a little retro first car. Surprisingly spacious for it's size

Hubby pulled the trigger and got it for him..he is really worried that once he is allowed to fly back to Tanzania he won't make it back to SA in time for his bday.

I was of course a bit concerned that it would seem unfair for the one to have what appears to be a "fancier" car but my eldest said.. mom that is such a sweet deal would be silly to pay more for a car that offers less, plus we don't want the same cars [emoji1787]..He was so happy for his brother he took him riding all over the place..as his brother can't drive yet and has to now wait until his bday before getting his leaners (as the bday pressie came early) yes we buy cars for them when they are 17 so that they are able to be comfortable and confident in the cars that they will end up doing their tests in and driving after they have their driver's licence.

I'm curious, what colour Gen?

White.

They had, white, silver, blue and charcoal.. but we opted for white.. I have a silver car, his brother a charcoal one and blue isn't a favourite colour of his..so white it was.. which he was thrilled about.

My eldest sister and I got hand me down cars, when it came to the youngest sister there were no hand me downs to give her.

dad started looking at used Citi Golfs and Conquests and then they released the Tazz. 10k cheaper than a used conquest at the time.

My dad comes to me one day, would you mind if your sis got a new car instead of second hand like you did.

It was really a no brainer, a brand new reliable car vs a more expensive used car with questionable history.

I think sometime parents underestimate their kids

This was my driveway not that long ago - then I decided to restore and even older one which got so out of control I had to sell the silver one on the left

Then I went on a roadtrip ,discovered Hoekwil and realised that I could sell the green one and the finally restored silver one and buy 3 hectares and a house - basically I grew up and it sucked big time

Now I could never afford any of these or the others cars came in and out of my life.

Bicycles are not cheap, but way way cheaper than cars
