My result om racetec not right. Over 8 hours and a average speed of 9.5km/h. I had a bad race, but not that bad!

That normally happens when your chip don't register the finish or the start

I think its because PPA dont do anything to improve the racing for the top riders. They would rather support the Light by Linea series the previous day.

But by saying that if I did not do the Amashova I would have done the race, always loved this event.

Sad to see that 99% of the top riders in the province did not ride the event :-(

Expect more of this with the split in event organising ...

Hey to all. From Tiletoria I just want to say a huge thanks for the great turnout. Seems like we had just short of 2 000 entrants which is really fantastic. On the league side of thing we are extremely disappointed that the whole issue could not be resolved. Once again, thanks for the great support.

Nice race. Started in K with club CTG (lots of E, F, Gs too) that swelled into a massive bate ball by the time we turned for the lost city of Atlantis. Thanks to the Outsriders setting the pace for the first half....... and most of the second half :whistling:. (Before you guys get funny ideas.... we did a fair share of work)

One guy collided heavily with one of those yellow PPA sign boards just before we took the turn back onto the N7. Hope he is OK... PPA please reconsider moving those boards off the road cause it's especially dangerous when going at high speed.

Yeah, think those Outriders sniffed a little jet fuel the way they came past our pack, lucky I slipped in and hung on :-) Nasty fall, hectic

Once ppa and csa thing is sorted, no reason why lights by linea could not work together with ppa to bring many awesome events to both elites and recreational cyclists in the western cape.

Did the 85km race on my mountain bike. Managed a 2hr44min with an average speed of 30kph. Was tough keeping with the roadies but managed to surprise a few. Think it's time for a road bike...

There was a G group rider on a Mtb that caught us in the E-F group, and he stuck with us right to the end.

Just a quick "Thanks!" to a bunch of The Outriders guys that started well below their seedings in "I" and helped us keep our batch going at such a good tempo, great riding with you lot!

From an outsiders perspective.

Over the past few years this event has always been one that I never look forward to as the parking arrangements and the way that riders would just meander into the roads without looking at the start / finish area was simply just a nightmare. To the point that I would plan to either be home bound on the day or out early to return in the evening again so the I could avoid the commotion.

This year, whoever organised the "base logistics" sure did a great job with the parking and general control at the start / finish point.

I'm pretty sure you were in the same group with me and my two other Outriders mates as our finishing times are within a few seconds of each other. I was the Outrider with the white & blue Kask helmet. It was a good recovery ride as I've just got over the flu and I'm glad we could help on the race (also glad that some of the guys chipped in at the front as well, Thx)

Yeah, I remember you guys from the second half of the race. I was the very tattooed guy in CWC kit trying to keep the pace up. Good riding with you!

Was gonna park my Fortuner (black; not the 2/4, but 4x4) on your front kerbside lawn.

Didn't know which home though?
