1x10 conversion - Leonardi Racing/ General Lee Adapter

Thinking of switching from a 2x 10 to a 1x 10. Would appreciate feedback from anyone who has done the Leonardi cluster conversion.

It's not cheap for the genaral lee kit, plus you need a woolftooth blade. But still a lot less than XX1 or XO1. 'Cept there's no 42 at the back.

Why do you you need a Wolf Components chain ring? A guide will work just fine.

 

You don't have the 42 but with the right chainring, you can get close, ratio wise...

 

- SRAM XX: 11-12-14-16-18-21-24-28-32-36

- SRAM XX1: 10-12-14-16-18-21-24-28-32-36-42

- SRAM 1070 with General Lee adapter: 11-12-14-16-18-21-25-29-34-40

Yes a guide should work, but you want to simplify the whole drivetrain and the wolf component chainring has slighty bigger teeth to overcome chainslipping.
