Every time I see a pic of a fat bike only one word pops into my head. Why?

Snow, thick sand and oodles of mud.

That bike at T.O.L. would have been a pleasure.

Imagine riding along the beach for endless k's.

Also you won't survive Iditabike without one like that.

Let's take massive rock gardens.

Lot's of benefits (also negatives of course)

Lekker pic that

I have been after a Fatbike since I learnt about the Iditabike 14 years ago.

The guys on MTBR have a lovely following and posts on these bikes.

Here's another pic from the same article…

Ja, Iditabike fascinates me. I remember reading a feature in an old GQ about one of the previous champions - name eludes me - some years back. The guy's bike was heavily modified. His wheels were made by welding two rims together. There was also some grim details about his having to stitch himself out on the route following a crash.

Much respect! I lack both the physical ability and mental fortitude to even contemplate something like that!

Wyatt, would would that Spesh Fatbike weigh out of interest sake ?

Would love one to ride on the beach with. I suspect anything with more than a 10 percent gradient would kill your legs !

It was just under 14 kg's.

Not too bad I think.

Gees, that's light !! I was ecpecting around 20. That means you could pretty much ride it anywhere.

Getting the gold logo.

Bhahahahahhaha

Big pull towards the new bike is SRAM 22 thought. Only reason as the blue logo bike is 3 months old.

We all have our own idea of our dream bike. Mine will be a santacruz bronson carbon with 2x10 drive train (i would like to make it up the long steep climbs to save energy for the down hill single track) for trail riding

merida big seven carbon team with a bit of tweaks here and their with my own custom made shimano 1x10 drive train for cross country.

merida big nine carbon team again with my own bit of tweaks here and their for marathon.
