Almost a perfect ride by Rossi yesterday. Got his tactics just right. Strange how hw and Lorenzo started with the same game plan and Lor came stone last and Rossi second.

Was stoked to see Carl get his win.

Cal was truly magnificent I was so pleased to see him finally win.

.

Lorenzo looked as though he had a complete meltdown.

Baz also had a great result.

Watching the lumps of rubber coming off of Iannone's front tyre was truly frightening.

I love this country and the track, I was there in 2003 from Thursday to Sunday with an all areas pass. Great memories. Lucio Cecchinello raced in the 125cc that year.

The weather then was quite a bit better than yesterday...

Would it be boastful of me to mention I've been to Phillip Island as well....2004. When Rossi won the championship....

Bit harsh of Cal to call the other guys WIMPS ....

He is not racing for a title and could afford to take a chance .

Don't like him , as he is very arrogant , but he took a gamble and it paid off .

Well done to him .

Iannone was certainly unlucky that his tyre shredded like that , but lucky he didn't bail .

Rossi was his usual self ... race flat out till the end .

Marques looking good for title number 3 in MotoGP

Lorenzo .... Yamaha must be so glad he is leaving ..... CLOWN .

Exactly. Plus, isn't he like racing for the title of most crashes in a career?

I dont think harsh, stupid, maybe, cheeky definately.

Its easy taking longshots and risks when you arent expected to finish races.

He won because of the right tyre choice, and the fact that Rossi did not want to risk too much even on the right tyres. Look where Baz came on the right tyres.

If the Ducs were on the harder tyres, or even MM, Cal Bighead would not have had it as easy as he thinks.

Ok I admit to not having seen the interview yet..... But I'm pretty sure it was tongue n cheek and meant more of a joke. Especially coming from Cal.

It was definitely tongue in cheek, he's a really nice bloke.

There's some high horses around here...

Context, man. Without it, it's just text. On the face of it, without having seen the interview and with popits neglecting to mention "Cal said jokingly" or some such other framing, it comes off as foppish and insulting. No high horses, just a lack of context and explanation from the poster.
