this makes it kinda hard to detect if the guy was cheating tho. It compensates by increasing your heart rate and power numbers as well, so its VERY difficult.

 

its easy to see if someone rode in a car, as their HR/power will be low.

 

but If i go ride a segment flat out and dont win it, I can just "digital epo" the tcx file, and it will look 100% legit

Well the KOM's thing anyways - strava is still a great training tool, esp for paid users with power meters

I downloaded a sample tcx off google code, then ran it thru depo and checked it by hand afterwards - theres absolutely no identifying features or watermarks.

I did it with one of my rides from Endomondo. It is frightening how something as simple as a 20% increase on a ride can make it all look legit.

 

Strava is now an even bigger joke than it was before!

Strava...smaava. I will say it again. Nothing beats the real thing....give them the armstrong look before you attack, and hope you don't pop in the process
