If we all had to take this approach the around 90 % of the threads on this forum would be a waste of time.

The hub can be an informative place if people acted like adults.

I can't see myself ever buying a "fake" bicycle or any equipment for that matter but certain stuff like clothing I don't mind. I've bought some kits from cycling-jersey and the quality is pretty decent. Bikes are a definite no-no for me.

Ok and how is that different besides the value of the item?

Whether it be a fake bok jersey, oakleys, cycling shirt or bike it would still be fraudulant? right?

But it's only fraud if you are trying to sell it on as a Spez, in your example.

If you for example order it sprayed in Spez colours for your own use is it still fraud?

Like stickering wheels with ENVE, or Roval logos. Is that fraud if its for personal use? Obviously different story if you then sell your bike with "ENVE" rims.

Please explain to me why you would do this?

You know its not one, but you want it to look like one.

Why?

I don't know if it's fraud or not but I would hate to ride a Fake bike, although I would ride/buy a chinese Blank

If this tread is for information only, why is the title: Fakes and Woo Choo Chong

It sounds like you are out to pick a fight and that is exactly what has started to happen here. Why not just pick a title that will be easy to find hen doing a simple search on the hub like: Fake/Counterfeit item info/identification

No you are wrong. Copyright exists on all branding, if you go and steal that and place it on a blank frame without the proprietors permission its still fraud.

Ok. Sorry dangle! Got the point of this thread all wrong!

Yes, we saw the unfortunate gent who spent loads on a fake pina with fake bora wheels... Poor bastard!

Yeah we definitely need to check for fakes sold as originals. That's wrong.

Apologies again there!

Becasue the majority of the fakes are chinese made.

No need to pick a fight.

I think people like Azonic and yourself are so defensive about what they bought that they can't see the moon for the sun.

You will note that I have not gotten involved in ANY of the other chinese threads.

If I wanted to pick a fight, I would have done it there.

The only reason anyone would go to all the trouble to do that is because they are obsessed with what people think of them and their bike. I mean, it doesnt make the bike any faster / lighter so its only done to "impress". And that ladies and germs is pretty sad. Why pretend to be something you are not?
