be carefull with the safety glasses

I used them on the 36one race but my vision wasnt all good after about 6 hours and I had a pumping headace

I dumped them and when without it till the sun came up

vision was normal and no headace

then I went back to normal sunglasses..I also use oceanwear..

great brand

Try Johnson Workwear - R20.00 each. Also have "type of Photochromatic" - R20.00 each.

Work very well, recommended. You would not know they are not designer glasses and are also safety glasses..

Where can I find Johnsons?

1-2 years seems to be the time that you will keep most glasses

95% of the best brand glasses will show wear and tear after 2 years

Where can I find Johnsons?

They seem to be all over the country. They are called Jonssons Workwear.

I use the sunglasses for work purposes as well and have no problems.

The Photochromatic ones will hurt if you wear them in sunlight. Hell, I recommend these big time. At 20 bucks. They do not look like the clunky industrial glasses at all.

And no, I do not work for them.

Got a pair of pink Oakley half jackets for R300 at their clearance sale last year. Best buy ever, except for the colour. But I don't mind, cos the optics are superb and I can get replacement lenses.

Greetings folks,

I have been mountain biking for a few months now, and have come to a point where I am looking to purchase a pair of MTB sunglasses.

Can anyone please advise which pair of sunglasses is value for money? I do have a budget, so anything under R800 would be the preferable option.

Reason for the purchase; too much mud in the eyes, so eyes are really starting to hurt.

Thanks !

Hi S Ribic,

Besides the Power Race glasses I also have the Bollé glasses for R175 a pair:

D'arcs, three lenses, comfy fit and get the job done !

Great back up service to get bits and pops if you loose them or break them etc.

I bought Ocean Eyewear polarized sunnies for R500 from my LBS.

Sexy and works very well :)

I struggle to spend too much on glasses as i've lost 1 set before and broken another.
