Tumbles, Nic White posted a bit of info re the injuries sustained, but not the crash, on FB

Thanks! Will go have a look. Had a quick chat to my mate, Jezza, yesterday and he said it was carnage.

One of the girls that work with me was the medic on the schene at the SBR crash of the elites. She mentioned that it was quite a bad crash, with a number of elites that got really hurt from broken arms to fractured scull.

The guys apparently went off the road and landed up in the bushes on the other side of the fence. Eina

Speedy recovery to the injured guys

That wind was something else! Feel like I just went 12 rounds with Money. Blew at 90km. Limped home. Bit of a crash at the second last (?) water point. Medscheme rider from the front of G decided he should get some water, altered his line sharply and took another rider down. Fantastic organisation. Will be back next year :-)

Well done to all who rode yesterday! It was tough out there.

I managed to stay with the front of the A guys until 65km when the wind decided to have some fun with me. Rode with a junior and VC until Henley when they dropped off. From there it was a lonely and extremely windy ride to the finish. Seemed like I ended up in no man's land between the first two A groups. I suppose it was a good training ride.

Organisation did seem quite good. Just the seeding was a royal mess up (initially seeding in H when my normal group is A. Luckily I managed to get a reseed). Another thing which irritated me were the juniors which we caught. I think one one really went and did any work and maybe another did a few turns. But most of them just sat on the back while all the A guys worked. Having said that the A group did have quite a good rotation going there with everyone doing their turn at the front.

They should actually not hook on to any group. They need to limp home by themselves and stop interfering with open groups who catch up to them.

I know of a Medscheme rider who will soon meet his match if he carries on with his wild moves in bunches who catch up with him.
