hayleyearth Posted September 9, 2013 Posted September 9, 2013 (edited) So all this 29er vs 26er and lycra vs baggies and clips vs flats and all the chirps about the spruit got me thinking.... Lets have a group ride and mix-IT-up a bit. Are you one of these 26er, hiding-your-lycra-under-baggies, flats worshiping and ripping off the 29ers the whole time? OR Are you (what the above usually call) a strava junkie? Always kitted out with your lightest kit and gear and your main aim is just to be fast (even when just riding the Spruit)? OR Do you ride a 29er, with cleats and lycra because that is what the cycle shop you went to told you is the best? WELL now you can come and switch it out - bring your bike, normal tekkies or sneakers (if you usually ride cleats), and normal shorts like board shorts or normal baggies (if you usually wear lycra, you can put it over the lycra). So if you ride a 29er usually you will get someone elses downhill/AM bike with flats...If you usually ride a 26er trail, you will get someones 29er (maybe SS), etc. So who is keen?Vote when and time and reply with what you usually ride and lets see if we can arrange swap outs. It will be a +- 25 to 30km ride.Of course with a Vida stop. If you only join to see Patches and Peach in lycra, I bet it will be worth it Edited September 9, 2013 by hayleyearth Disylizzy 1

MTBc Posted September 9, 2013 Posted September 9, 2013 does that mean that all the flat riders will be clipping in?
patches Posted September 9, 2013 Posted September 9, 2013 does that mean that all the flat riders will be clipping in? most likely! Despite their love for freedom, most flat's riders do own cleats For those that don't, there will be duct tape. MTBc and Nofearnofun 2

ChUkKy Posted September 9, 2013 Posted September 9, 2013 Sure someone can bring a JD Bug... those you can push all day long, no flats or cleats required
MTBc Posted September 9, 2013 Posted September 9, 2013 most likely! Despite their love for freedom, most flat's riders do own cleats For those that don't, there will be duct tape. Is that to stop the screaming?
