Anybody seen or tried Wolf Tooth conversion

any comments on wolf tooth vs raceface chainrings?

 

Wolf tooth sounds like its made of a tougher, more durable material, and am guessing this is aimed more at the DH / Enduro single chainring setups, while the lighter raceface would be more suitable for an XC 1x(?) setup.. is this a valid assumption? Both have long teeth. RF is half the price of WT - this a case of "you get what you pay for" ?

My impression of the RF is that it's tooth shape is very similar to a standard SS chainring, just with alternating wide and narrow teeth.

 

WT (and XX1) on the other hand have longer teeth

I noticed now that the RF only comes in 34 and 36t. A bit to much for my legs/fitness/type of riding.

 

The WT goes down to 30 and is perfect for me thus far. Does top out at about 38-40km/h but that only problem when commuting with the MTB.......so far.

I have been using this from Absolute Black in a 34T, with no spider on my Sramm XX1 crank. a little cheaper than the Wolftooth but ultimately the same. great cnc milled finish:
