bought puncture kit. did repair the hole. Then put back into tyre and had struggle with tyre lever to put back. did pumping like 15 min and it still flat. then take it out and discover there is other hole. Decide replace the spare tube and pumping 10 min and discover there is HOLE WTF!

I believe maybe I pressure tyre too hard with tyre lever that cause it.

Will take rim and tyre to LBS later for fixing and will learn how they do it.

Some tyres are quite difficult to get off certain rims. I have also seen a tyre glued onto a rim on a colleague's bike. A cheap way to run a tubeless setup with non tubeless tyres that won't seat. (obviously not recommended)

Spider - make sure there is nothing in the tyre when you put a new tube in, sometimes a small sharp object can be left behind and will puncture the tube again once inflated.

If there is a hole in a tubeless tyre then you can plug it.

You guys will be surprised how many people don't know how to change tubes etc, let alone the more complicated things. I noticed a guy's wheel was deflating at the start of a race earlier this year. I pointed this out to him and he went into a flat panic as he didn't know where to begin. I helped him and he literally put his gloves back on and the gun went off...

It made me feel great that I was able to help so he could do the ride. It takes a little bit of your time and patience to show somebody, be nice guys!

I've been removing tyres since well before I grew my first pube but only last year did I learn that you can clip the lever onto the spoke. Ridicule away :P

You can clip the what onto the what?!

No, seriously, I also only learned this (from a girl) on the side of the road at the Jock classic this year.

(I have been at it for a few years now.)

Make sure there isn't a thorn still stuck in the tyre which is puncturing your tube when you put it back in.

I learnt this one from experience

I am not that skilled at explaining things without props however let me have a go. The trick is " if you are struggling you are doing it wrong". Your rim is at its smallest diameter in the centre so before you use the tyre levers on the top part of the tyre make sure that the same side of the bottom of the tyre is in the centre of the rim. If you are trying to remove a tyre before the bead has been released from the entire rim you will battle. If your tyre is stuck to the rim you could use a small G clamp and two small blocks of wood, to protect the tyre from the clamp, tighten the clamp on either side of the tyre and " break " the seal. Do not use a pair of pliers as this will damage the tyre bead. I can send you a link to a fantastic video tutorial on how to do this to a motorcycle tyre but the same principle applies, PM me if you like.

You reverse the process to put the tyre back onto the rim. I suspect that you are pinching the tube when you are replacing the tyre that's why you have so many holes! You need to take more care.

The ability to fix punctures out on the trail/road is the key to enjoyable cycling.

Be careful when using the tyre levers to put the tyre back onto the rim, its common for people to pinch the tube when doing this and when they re inflate the rim the tube has a puncture.

Maybe take the tube out, inflate it and run it through a bucket of water to locate the puncture, could either be your repair job wasn't done correctly or you've pinched the tube when re installing or as other hubbers have pointed out, there may be something in the tyre still that is puncturing it.

Either way, try persevere, its painful but will teach you what to look out for and you'll be sorted going forward, if you're stuck on the side of the road one day, its not so easy to take it to the LBS.

Could also be a spoke peeking through the rim tape causing the repeated flats. I only use a the lever to remove the tire from rim but replace it with my hands after first inflating the tube slightly so it does not pinch between tire and rim.
