Stupid floating adverts

I was getting the same thing on my home computer. It was so bad that I could hardly see the Hub page itself. After lots of Googling, I discovered that I must activate something called "Active X" in my settings. The problem disappeared.

I thought I had picked up some sort of virus.

I got some weird pop-ups on my home laptop last week - invites to chats, make money etc…don't know if that's what KC is talking about.

Nothing on my work PC though.

Its adware from all your porn!

Isn't there any willing singles in your area?

I like how the ads appear in relation to your browsing, at work I see customer and service provider ads all the time.......at home its a completely different story :)

Matt, I did get some "security certificate" warnings, not sure if related...

Thanks for the feedback. It's an odd one - typically security certificate warnings appear when you're accessing a site via https, e.g. https://www.bikehub.co.za which none of our urls are.

Was this on any page in particular or all pages?

Every page, mate. Also, strangely, I got it on my phone when leaving work: Copied and pasted the URL - it's http: https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/132046-stupid-floating-adverts/page__st__16
