But we're not complaining because we got DQ'ed, we're complaining because the f(*&ing comm tried to kill us! It's worse than a driver driving into the bunch!

I have showed Craig all the letters he is in full agreement with road closure he has been asking PPA for it from the beginning.

Craig says he would like to appoligise to the rider that hit his mirror as craig said in my first letter after speaking to him his car was on the right hand side of the road and he did slow down!!! He also never intended to hert any rider as he nows how riders get treated, but the officials have to put up with PPA and they come down on the officials!!

I now how much time Craig gives to the sport he does more for the cyclist than most people he is always fair with his rules.

I have accepted his appology I hope the rest will to!!

maybe the people who know how, should take over the league racing and let the funride experts organise the funrides..? gianni2008-02-18 05:04:32

I think PPA should start by trying to get rolling road closure for the elites as this is where the problem lies. This is by far to most competitive category. If PPA does not know how to go about this, I am sure GL will be able to tell assist them, if he's willing. With a police vehile and a leading vechile in front of the group, any traffic coming from the opposite direction could be ask to pull off the road for 1 minute untill the group has passed and then continue on its way. The bunch could also escorted by a motor cycle to keep riders in check.

This worked so well at TDB, I just cannot understand why they cannot try and implement this at leaque races.
