Garmin Edge 510 Firmware Update

I recently acquired an Edge 510. For the record, an awesome machine and a worthy upgrade. No need to mention the outgoing unit.

 

I have version 2.5 of the firmware and I see version 2.7 is out. I get to the upgrade section and my machine read 100% progress, however, the software waits for a while and then decides that an error has occurred and things are not going to happen.

 

Any ideas from the propeller heads?

OK, as I hit the post button, I remembered that I previously had an update issue with another device because I use Kaspersky anti-virus software. So having disabled Kaspersky for the download, everything worked out fine.

 

Just remember to re-enable it when done!

For some reason I can't update my 500. WebUpdater doesn't want to run on my PC. Need to phone support when I get a chance!

Used both and neither worked until I disabled Kasperky.

I don't think Webupdater has anything to do with what browser you use but anti virus may well have ..... As you have shown anyway.

I have had problems when trying IE.

Doesnt download programs completely or gives errors, no such proplems using FF or chrome
