Negatives - comparatively longer chainstays means it's both more stable and yet slightly less playful than competitors. But it's an awesome bike. Best chat to Dan (i-ride) about them - he has extensive experience on them.

No real negatives at that price, provided it is in good nick.Perhaps the fact that the 29er Trance is no longer made, could be a negative? Personally, it wouldn't matter to me. It is a very capable all rounder. All parts are easily available.

Picking up my new toy hopefully on Monday, A 2014 Trance SX.Quite interested to see how different the 1x10 drivetrain is. I can see my future consisting of more Rule#5. The upgraded fork and dropper will aslo be a welcome change me thinks. Looking forward to riding this bike!

Also bear in mind that if you swap the shock out for a bigger one (200x57) your travel will go up from 140 to 159.6mm.... It's been done, it works, and it's awesome - reportedly.

You may need to perform the electrical tape mod to reduce the volume in the outer chamber. Piece of piss, and makes SUCH a difference.
