Triathlon ......

JGR

Recommended Posts

I am starting this thread for the following reasons:

1. Share training experience and new techniques

2. To support each other through times of doubt

3. Discuss equipment

4. Discuss races/events

5. Recent news

6. Group swims/rides/runs

This is not about complaining about costs of bikes, events, location, times ect.

It is my hope to share positive experience with like minded people who are involved in triathlon or are looking to be involved in triathlon.

Good idea - thanks!

Wish there was a couple of 70.3 distances to get some good rides in for IM... As far as I know it's basically Midlands Ultra and IM 70.3

Any road races where one can get some TT time in (ideally a "double like the 94.7...)

You cant use the TT bike in normal road races unfortunately. Perhaps we should enter a local PPA and start with the temps and use the bars

I had the same idea, but there were loads of TT bikes at the 94.7...

I just got the email from IMSA saying that a spot has opened for me in April and I have 24hrs to take it.

I'm nervous, scared and excited all at the same time! Eish, now is the time to take the plunge and enter.

Thanks for starting the topic JGR.

So I've been struggling to get into training this year. So much has been happening. So... Anyone in the Randburg/Sandton area that is needing to start training from scratch can contact me.

I also need some motivation so anyone experienced that feels like helping out with some training tips to get me going, are free to do so

No prob

Motivation is something I also struggle with sometimes - I love the training but it becomes difficult balancing friends and gf's.

Im planning on putting a couple of short youtibe vids on my phone to watch if I feel like ending session or skipping

I'm in Hyde Park - ride cradle most weekends. Riding MTB moddefontein this Sat and Sun at the cradle. Always space for more people! Cradle will be quiet this weekend... (no 94.7 last weekend training :P)
