Core excerises

So I have done these exercises twice, I battle to stand up straight. I went for a ride yesterday and was surprised how much I use my core muscles. So I hope these exercises will help with my riding somehow because I am suffering!

Core excercises are the best thing you can do! more power when standing up and cranking up hills, More stability when bombing down hills. Strengthens back muscles and improves posture.

and when you come off it lessens the splat factor and increases the bounce factor so you can walk away and get back on the bike quicker.

I hate core exercises but the results speaks for itself. At least once a week you need to do these exercises

Ja they suck, but they cured by lower back pain!!!

I force myself every time after I ride to do at least 10 sit-ups.

Some new variations in the video. Will definitely try some of them.

I quite like the Scott Herman vids on youtube. (Don't like the sounds effects but do plenty of his core exercises and they work)

I like some of the exercises that James demonstrates at www.bikejames.com

Some of them require a fair level of co-ordination too... signing up for his newsletter always gives something new to try...

Core is the best.

I feel the difference almost instantly when I have missed a few sessions. Especially in my running. A good core is key in reducing the risk of injury as well.
