Blue Monster Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 The only issue I see is the according to the eta times at the finish, all the open seeded groups will come through the short course riders over most of the last 15km or so.
Frosty Posted February 17, 2014 Author Posted February 17, 2014 Yip, not much we can do unless the 65km groups start at 10:00. The last 15km is a double lane road with a hard shoulder, if that is any consolation. The AL and BL bunches will be negotiating the U14/16 and 16 tandems entered for the 65km event. The rest of the groups unfortunately will not be as fortunate

Frosty Posted February 18, 2014 Author Posted February 18, 2014 Perhaps this will explain why there are staggered start times...The Elites/U23's, VA and VB ride an extra loop starting at the 21Km point.They re-join the route at the 18.5Km marker and then proceed on the normal 103Km route.the Juniors in meantime leap to the front of the race, as they only do 103Km.The delay to the VC and Elite/Vet Woman is to allow the Elite/U23, VA and VB's a chance to get back onto the route.
