Hi there

Have they repaired the access road yet? It was very badly damaged in the flood and as far as I can tell, the campsited also took quite a beating.

As for the Trout..... They got the worst of it and are probably in the Witsand area by now. The river really took a beating in the flood. If you've been there before you won't recognise the river at all. It will take a very long time for the river to recover.

Enjoy the trip.

ride up to the dam wall. Follow the path on the northern shore, hook a right at the river. There will be a few UN Ryde a bill bits, but it gets you all the way to the N1

  • 4 years later...

Same Same, any local Hubbers hear that can reccommend trails open to the public in Slanghoek & Rawsonville areas. Will be in the area for a couple days between Christmas & New Year.

Information regarding routes for this area is rather lacking so, I'll just leave these 2 links I've found thus far in case anyone needs them in the future.

There is also Slanghoek Mountain Resort that has a 5km XCO loop only but definitely worthwhile.

do you have any other details about this? links, maps etc.

Nope, but think he mentions the Wine Estate, perhaps contact them or the Caveman himself. What he built at Old Bethlehem is pretty cool so sure it will be worth the effort to find out

Hey Guys.

Yes plenty of riding around Worcester every weekend. If you want group rides you might want to travel to town. Most rides leaving from the Big gumtrees by the N1/Golfcourse corner at 6 or 7am on Saturdays.
