Any ideas for the best alu hardtail 29er frame for a new year build?

I've had a carbon frame and found I was always a little worried about it getting dings and knocks. So for my own peace of mind, for mountain bikes I prefer alu.

Which niner? I was considering cannondale.

I've seen Giant XTC29 frames in the classifieds a few times. Don't think you can go wrong with those

Yeah, running on an alu anthem, its a great frame. Feels like it can take a beating

There is also nothing wrong with a GT Zaskar Pro LE frame.. Or the Giant XTC. If you can find a Gary Fisher x-calibur you are in a good place.

 

The NINER AIR Alu or the EMD are the 2 hardtail NINER frames done in alu I think (is ther 1 more?)...

What about the scott alu hard tails. They are usually pretty light (I think).
