Hehehe no I haven't actually ;)

I only swim at gym so no good there anyhow :)

Why is it a mission?

Dunno, never owned one but just imagining it would be strange...

Not fussed about gps while swimming so if I ever did would probably tie it onto the bike somewhere and then put the pouch on my arm while riding down the road so as not to forget it behind on the run

How do you know if a triathlete uses garmin products?

The watch works when he swims?

But let me guess, he tells you?

I have to doubt GPS accuracy on any swimming functions for any unit on the market.

Surely only an issue if you swim under water out of sight of the satellites...most of us try swim on top of the water :P

Swiss, no doubt for multisport a integrated GPS is the way to go but for running/cycling a GPS pod is fine IMO the G5 sensor is so small i clip it onto my bib strap and it doesn't bother you! for Triathlon i swim with two caps and put the sensor in between the two caps... The G5 sensor is not 100% waterproof so be careful, for multisport the Suunto ambit is superior due to its auto swim lap calculator as well as the GPS sensor that works brilliantly in the water and also includes a automatic sensor that picks up what discipline you doing

Your sarcasm and superiority noticed, but it's not purely the satellite pickup that disturbs the accuracy of readings.

I maintain that I won't trust the accuracy of the reading.

Thanks all for allowing me top partake in this thread.

That's me out

Oh hell now u brought up another small polar whinge point....Not water proof or even worse not water resistant...

Goes back to the RC3 being only splash proof, surely the polar finnish vodka scientists invented the terminology SPLASH PROOF...
