IMO the V650 would be much better suited for cycling purposes only as it is meant to be handle bar mounted while the V800 is meant to be worn on the wrist, but can also be mounted on the handle bar if you use one of the bar mounts for wrist watches (Polar has one which can be added as an extra when you buy the watch)

Any ideas on the Polar Flow home screen when you login.....

 

I really dont like the Explore screen which it defaults to everytime and would much prefer it went straight to "My Diary"

 

Is it possible to change this as a setting somewhere?

Added a new profile to my Sport profiles recently and tried it out...quite a nice view of the chase....

Uh uh... My V800 GPS is not functioning well, last 2 sessions the watch started ok and found the satelites like it normaly does but during the sessions the No GPS signal alarm came on numerous times. The end result was both sessions recorded inaccurate data.

Any southern hemisphere hubbers having üproblems with their V800 gps function?

 

Seems like a lot of people having problems in the northern hemisphere.

 

According to the polar forums a "soft reset" or "factory reset" might solve the problem.

Soft reset solved the gps problem for me.

 

Soft reset = hold the 4 buttons (back, light, up down buttons) down all at the same time for +/- 10 seconds.

Thats a good price, pity i did not see that a day or 2 ago...know someone in joburg who was looking for a gps watch in that price range... he bought a garmin 2 days ago
