Pain, pm bank details pls.

I'll contribute in expectation that there will be nothing but smooth track with no bumps and lumps, and a ski lift to. Cannot possibly expect us to peddle up as well :whistling: :)

Peddle? Strictly no hawkers :cursing: ..pm'd.

It will be a pleasure to give you a tour when you are in the hood again and if the donation is worthy I may even drop you off at the top. Ha ha!

Post a pic of the gloves please. If it was what I am thinking of then I can get it for alot cheaper!

We usually bury the deceased gloves where they give up but I have a few odds floating around in the bakkie.. hope you can get an idea from what is left.. give me a minute.

Yoh, PS...got some additional repair work for you......between yesterday AM and this AM, the log drop before the new table top at My Roots has been removed...not sure if this was your work or someone who couldn't get over the 8inch drop?

Probably for the best. That made no sense so close to the tabletop coming out of a different line. They should have left the drop and removed the table.

I feel guilty that I don't pitch up on the build days, so my small donation makes me feel a bit better.

Thanks for all your hard work, it really is much appreciated.

Me too! I've also made a donation (which will make me feel better when I ride past the workers tomorrow).

I'm pretty sure that many Tokai bikers would contribute if they (a) knew where to make a donation and (b) could see the impact / ie where the money is going.

Pain or Shine - have you considered some kind of marketing campaign to raise money? If you had a couple of boards made up which you could move around alerting bikers that these sections were built/fixed by donations I'm sure it would raise awareness and funding. There are a large number of very wealthy individuals who use Tokai regularly but don't frequent the Hub.

Table will be getting a rework to make it better.

The tabe is fine, there will be more built in time.. the run-in was a challenge which if not perfected left you with little speed to clear the extended jump. I was almost clear but not without great effort.

Ed.. If with speed the takeoff is still not offering distance to clear the jump, we may need to reshape as you've suggested.

Your thinking is in the right place.. and thanks for the donation. I prefer not to target any particular income group, any money from anyone is equally appreciated and will show in the trail quality. The objective is good trails.

Just to be clear, this thread was not intended as a fundraiser.. heck, it's not even mine! I went into some detail about this years' funds a few pages ago. Short of it is that there are several funding mechanisms that are almost complete, this will be used to raise money for 2014. The public are certainly not obligated to carry the full burden of trail maintenance, I am hopeful that the corporates will also be involved.. the contributions from the public will be used for labour only.

There is the option of going round, I'm sure with the speed the berm will proved a few g's.. ;)

Are you working up there today?

Yes, I will head out at about 11.30. A few wooden structures needing repairs and a bush or two trimmed.
I can lend a hand if you can make a plan to pick me up (dont ask for much do I...).
