20km wind is nothing. Last year we struggled against a 42km wind! Had to pedal down hill, and was blown all over the road with the side winds. I was crying when I finished out of pure frustration and relief that it was over. Only made me stronger though!

I do remember last year and it still hurts - I played domestique for my 2 sons and since nobody wanted to (or could) help, I stayed at the front all the way into that gale. They are now a year older and stronger and tomorrow the little blighters will just have to take their turns upfront! A 20km/h wind will actually be a good one for that purpose.

What a major stuff-up at the start for the Cat3's. Unfortunately the marshals were not on the same page :cursing: . Lots of almost/un-successful chasing  But enjoyed it nonetheless.

what was the gravel start shoute about? :cursing:

started in C bunch with about another 12 other riders, surely we should have been let off with the AB group!?

ride only really started when the break away CAT3 riders caught us!

That was us in the savage kit, he didn't feel 100's so last few km, thought to give it a bash up front.

Nice ride, you pulled me back to the group a few times :) Very strong, you should be in A/B.

You were in the breakaway? Did you win the group?

Was worried that I might be in trouble up Vissershok given the lack of rest I had this week, turns out I got dropped up that climb like I was looking for a picnic spot. Very humbling and not looking forward to the 99er

Rest of the race I enjoyed, fun & fast, except the last 10km solo into the wind, how I cursed those rolling hills!
