Sp!ke Posted January 19, 2014 Share Hi all My Nude 2 rear shock seems to be leaking oil by the rebound adjuster, is making a bit of a sucking noise and won't lock out.In short I'm assuming it needs a service. Is this something that any LBS can sort out or do I need to go to a shop that specialises in this type of thing?Has anyone done this type of service themselves? If so, any guidance? And just to pre-empt the comments I'm sure I'll get: No, I can't afford to upgrade to a Fox so thats not an option.
MrJacques Posted January 19, 2014 Share I am assuming it's on a scott spark? What length and stroke shock do you need? I think it will probably cost as much to fix it as to replace it with a new shock. These ones might fit on the bike.... http://www.thehubsa....c-165mm-shocks/ Edited January 19, 2014 by Jacquers
Sp!ke Posted January 19, 2014 Share How do the XFusions compare? I see they have RL, but is it 3 phase like the Nude?
MrJacques Posted January 19, 2014 Share That I don't know, but xfusion has a good reputation, def a better one than those dt swiss ones
David Marshall Posted January 19, 2014 Share Probike are the agents and a bike shop will probably send it to them. If you don't come right give me a call.

droo Posted January 20, 2014 Share The Nude 2 is a pig to service, and best left to Probike. No ways will it cost as much to service as to replace - the symptoms you describe are because of oil leaking from the damper. A rebuild will sort it out and it should be fine for another 6 - 12 months afterwards.
Sp!ke Posted January 20, 2014 Share Anyone got a contact for Probike?
droo Posted January 20, 2014 Share Your LBS will have to send it in for you, they don't deal with the public.
Soufflé Posted January 20, 2014 Share Lot easier to get e-toll exemption from SANRAL than buying DT Swiss spares over the counter in SA. Save up and replace your shock with FOX or SRAM
anders Posted March 22, 2015 Share Hey sorry to resurrect this thread, but I really like the twinloc adjustable travel idea and thinking about getting a Nude 2 for a new build, is it really as bad as it sounds or can I do pre-emptive service to it to make sure it doesn't fail? Mojoman Posted March 23, 2015 Share I had an Xfusion O2RL on my last DS, no issues with it over the 8 months before the frame died and I bought a different bike.

Mojoman Posted March 23, 2015 Share What happened to the old x fusion can?The whole bike wound up being an insurance claim as I wasn't going to try a 3rd time with the same brand of frame and the insurers took It away, makes you wonder what happens to these bikes as only the frame was knackered, there was still X5,X7 and X9 parts on the bike as well as a Reba and the Xfusion shock and semi decent wheels...I did ask the insurance if I could buy it off them but they never came back to me about it and the joy of a new bike took over...! If you can get hold of a Fox one, fine. The DT one is rubbish and will cost you money.
cbdcaffie Posted March 24, 2015 Share Chuck it away and get hold of a Fox CTD unit. I have never looked back.
